Of course over ambitious technology by rather modest technicians may also require dumbing down.

In october I had the occasion to transit between the rail and air at a place called Birmingham.

In a hurry I entered the compartment of an object that looked like Magnetically Elevated Linear Motor Translation Device.

I quickly realised that my first impressions were very wrong; the device ran on noisy little wheels and was pulled along by a length of  3/4" steel cable.[:D][:D]
