woolybanana
In the light of the research below, I was wondering how Essex birds relate to, say, City of Westminster birds? Are the tits bigger in just the brain department, for example? Is a Parisian Piaf more intelligent than, say, a rural one? Do rural birds not get the idea of opening the milk bottles? Do Essex birds try to drink the milk with the top still on?This research could open up all sorts of avenues of urban avian, muscicapine, oscine (song) passerine (perching), penduline, volucrine interest. How does urban nightingale song compare with the rural kind; was the one which sang in Barclay Square a kind of super brainy bird, the king or queen of the singers?http://news.bbc.co.uk/earth/hi/earth_news/newsid_9468000/9468306.stm

nomoss
Could the logic be applied to humans?I this why townies look down on country dwellers? But then, many townies yearn to live in the country.Maybe they think there'll be less competition?
