Fascinating.Odd woman though. I'll never forget the time she got drunk on that review progamme (although I've long forgotten the programme's name!) idun Posted December 14, 2011 Share Posted December 14, 2011 The Emporer's Clothes comes to mind with some of these 'artists'. I feel conned, like seeing the bin at the Baltic I saw last week. Hoddy Posted December 14, 2011 Share Posted December 14, 2011 I think Coops is on to something about the difference between the actual artwork and the reproductions that we usually see of them. I didn't care much for Van Gogh until I went to the museum in Amsterdam and I almost fell over with the brilliance of his work. Similarly I went to see some real Damien Hirst's in October and was converted again.This is a rather long way round of saying that I'll with hold my judgement of Emin until I've actually seen some of her work.Hoddy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
