Gardengirl
Thanks Jacqui Too - I can't do live links any more - annoying, as it always used to work!We did a LOTR tour in NZ and it was just wonderful. I loved LOTR and I'm looking forward very much to The Hobbit. [:)]

Gardengirl
I really enjoyed that thanks - during a break from preparations for the family arriving tomorrow. We were in New Zealand in early 2005, part of a 2-month trip to Australia and NZ. The tour was a lovely part of our trip, although it wasn't the main reason for it. We loved seeing the Misty Mountains (the Southern Alps), around Lake Manapouri - heading south from Rivendell etc etc. It's an amazing country altogether, and we've fond memories of it. If we'd been younger I think we'd have fancied moving there to live - but we couldn't have afforded the trip when we were younger!
Mr Coeur de Lion
When I went to NZ, I didn't know a lot about the country. I felt ripped off. I didn't know all the mountains were on the south island. I had visited the north!Still a beautiful country.I found the LOTR movies very long and boring, but will still go to see The Hobbit when it comes out. I think Martin Freeman is the perfect cast choice.
