For those that don't understand to Gallop means all four legs have to be of the ground at one time. With running which Asimo can do is just two legs. So just imagine how you can gallop and turn at the same time.Why would they want to do this? Well the mechanics can be used to built artificial limbs that allow people to run as well as walk and to understand how we actual turn like left to right, in a circle etc. All in all pretty smart I thought.
