Just to precise, the unbelieveable things I was referring to were alleged attacks on people in France because they spoke English or were driving a UK registered car within hours of the people who found and re-posted them waking up to a nightmare that when they went to bed the night before they were happy and contented would never happen.

 

I did not believe them (and it would be unproductive to drag up the détails of why they were not true but suffice to say I dont think pigeons are racist) any more than I believed that the most searched for term on Google, a worldwide Platform, the same day was "what is the EU?"

 

Its not a case of not wanting to hear but of applying some common sense judgement to what is being said, in the immediate aftermath there were some who only wanted to hear that which validated their feelings of despair and could not apply that judgement, I think that most people are able to now that things have sunk in.
