Historical weather records

Hello helpful people,

One day in April our heating/cooling ceased to function. Because of COVID 19 we had to wait weeks for a technician to come. Since last week we have a new PCB, which, including work, came to more than € 1700. I tried putting in an insurance claim, but unless there was a lightning strike on that day in April, they won’t consider it. So is there a site somewhere that can help me? I tried tutiempo but it doesn’t have data for 2020. Thank you.

Most of the historical data weather sites don't include lightning as is localised and usually only a brief event. They also only have data for the weather stations around the country rather than specific towns.

How do you know it was lightening that did for your system?

And did the technician mention that on your bill?
