The Riff-Raff Element
It might be more of a Manchester effect than a BMI effect: Air Arran have stopped their Manchester - Nantes service.

David J
That would be a disaster for me also if that happened, though Bordeaux - Birmingham with train up to/from York could be possible.Am used to the milk train from York at 2.15am and taking 2 hours to get to Manchester Piccadilly followed by the coach to the airport when they are doing track repairs at night. It's just great waiting in the cold for the driver to open the coach door with passengers waiting outside. He has the heater on inside! It's his job!!No doubt York Birmingham at that time would throw up some similar situations!!!Have just checked a booking for Jan19th Manchester - Bordeaux and return 2nd Feb so hope it will still be operative.Keep me posted if you hear any news.Don't want to do Stansted - Bergerac. Missed one flight due to train breakdown on the way from Peterborough to Stansted at Cambridge. Anglia trains!!David J
Llantony
I tried the website, looked promising tho we'd have to travel further at the UK end. It seems to offer Leeds/Bradford or Manchester to Toulouse. However, I tried putting in dates just to see what the cost would be and couldn't get any further as it took me to a page about my booking, which of course I haven't made. So no idea of costs/availability!
Llantony
5 hours is a lot better than Ryanair who, when flight was cancelled, told us we couldn't have another for 5 DAYS!

So no idea ofcosts/availability!I recently booked one-way flights from Toulouse to Manchester with Jet2for two different dates in the summer and the cost was around £30 ppper flight all in. I don't think the service starts until themiddle of April and it isn't daily, though in May and June it seems torun most days of the week. The flights leave Toulouse quite latein the evening. We are almost equi-distant from Bordeaux andToulouse and so our family will find it very convenient to come outfrom Manchester to Bordeaux by bmibaby (leaving about 6.45am) whichmeans they can then take the train to Mont de Marsan and be with us byearly afternoon. Going back they will take the train from Tarbesto Toulouse and because the Jet2 flight leaves around 10.00 pm theyhave most of that day with us as well. It makes such a differencebeing able to book one-way flights!PS The Leeds/Bradford - Toulouse flight comes into service around the same time but I think it's Saturdays only.
