NormanH
Yes I know Barcelona is in Spain, but for those of us in my part of the world a trip there is a bit like going up to town for someone in the South of England.A new TGV has come into service on the Spanish side from Barcelona to Figueras (though this will be extended to Perpignan some time after April. As well as cutting the journey time considerably there are some good prices on the Spanish side:Barcelone-Gérone (temps de trajet : 37 minutes) démarre à 6,91 €, le billet Barcelone-Figueras à 8,89 €. idun
There was a train years ago that I regretted not ever taking and that was the one that went from Geneva to Barcelona and stopped at stations local to us in the Alpes. I don't know why we didn't use it to go to Barcelona and by the time I'd decided that we should, they had stopped it. We did use it often enough heading 'north', when flying from Geneva. So not worth buying a return for these new services, but two singles instead?
