ratsy
Sorry this is not a real legal question but I want to find out if there is a formal dress for french avocats like the wig and gown for our judges and solicitors - any ideas?

Val_2
I recently went to the local Tribunal de Commerce to hear our case registered and all the avocats seemed to be wearing the usual black gowns with dead animals attached to them, quite comical really especially as I expected to see Basil Brush pop up any moment and Underneath most of them had jeans on. ratsy
thanks for the link, that's great - good to see the good old british sense of humour alive and well in France!
Val_2
You have to laugh or else you'd go mad here. Fed up with doom and gloom in the papers and on the box so a bit of humour is always welcome.
