Chancer Posted March 15, 2007 Share Posted March 15, 2007 How pleased am I to find that after only 2 years here the homework that I was set during les vacances is what my tutor had also given to her class of 14 year olds.And they didn't have to translate it either!It was a written comprehension paper on the Chilean regime during the Pinochet years as seen through the eyes of a child, I (and they) had to read it, make summary notes and then answer a series of detailed questions relying on memory and the summary.Some of her pupils got 18/20, I think I probably got all the answers right but will be marked down on grammar, spelling, accents etc.Given that I left school 30 years ago having failed both English exams I am very proud!
