Pierre ZFP
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7219499.stm I would have thought it would be better for him just to ignore it - this way everyone will remember rather than it all being forgotton in a week
Will
An element of competition here? The former Mrs Sarkozy was awarded damages earlier this week in respect of unauthorised use of a photograph. But she only got 30,000€.
woolybananasbrother
So he wants €1 and she wants €500000. Her little tryst will have paid off if she gets that.

woolybananasbrother
Seems to be though. What is the PM called? Frillyone? Still at least he has a woman who has not apparently shown an urge to remove her clothes in pubic.[6]
Kitty
You don't think that this is just a Ryanair publicity stunt?
woolybananasbrother
It ain't serious, that's for sure. And this is the flat season for European travel.
Sprogster
A publicity stunt that has backfired, as annoying the French President and his girlfriend was not the most commercially sensible thing to do.Ryanair must be worried, as they have apologised!!!! Is this the first apology Ryanair have ever issued?

Renaud
This is one of those legal battles where one hopes both sides lose.
Pierre ZFP
Well Renaud, you were more or less right.Sarkozy got his token 1 Euro and Ms Bruni got 60K of the 500K asked for.http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7228457.stm
Kitty
So Carla usually earns 500,000 euros from an advert? What kind of money will she earn as a married French first lady? What kind of money will she earn as a divorced French first lady?Oh and also - how are the French taking the fact that their first lady is not in fact French but Italian? ams
Great publicity for next to nothing. She, that is Sarko's new wife charges €500,000 for her services, Ryanair paid €60,000, looks like a great deal to me. In addition the amount of free publicity across Europe must be worth millions. ams
