Quillan Posted October 23, 2010 Share Posted October 23, 2010 I read today in the French section of the Telegraph that Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has been asked/told to curtail her 'music' career and not release her new album while France goes through her current turmoil. It is felt by the presidents advisers that she could be seen as a "modern-day Marie Antoinette". Likewise "One biography claimed that she was one of the biggest obstacles to the President getting re-elected.". I would have thought, reading the French newspapers, that it is the president himself and his pension reform plans that may be the biggest barrier to him not being re-elected.
