We always say mash for spuds and it has to have lots of butter and a little milk in it and pure for other veg and fruits just to be different. Suandpete Posted May 10, 2004 Share Posted May 10, 2004 The best "puree'd" potato I ever had was in the Andes in Peru where the potatoes are freeze dried in the open air and then cooked and mashed - absolutely wonderful!
