hastobe
Anyone know where I can get this? I've scoured the shelves of the big Carrefour / Leclerc in Trellisac (Perigueux) without success - I can find SR flour but not baking powder.Kathie
Suze01
AFAIK it's called levure chimique and you get in sachets packs of five (not to be confused with levure boulanger).
Cerise
Look in the 'foreign products' section of Leclerc - you can often find the real thing as we know it there.

Meg
Kathie,Got my last lot in Lidl. Sold as the individual sachets, in a pack of 10 i think, and as Susie said called Levure chimique.
Clair
I've seen regular supplies of proper (Browick's) baking powder at Champion in Figeac (46), so they may be available in others too...Otherwise , as per the previous posts, it's called levure chimique and found in packs of5 or 10 near the flour in supermarkets. PossumGirl
I buy the "bio" levure en poudre, rather than the "levure chimique." I prefer the taste, as I find the chimique is a bit too metallic for my liking. LeClerc has both of them next to each other.PG
