Thebiga
What if you have bought a property with your inlaws and find that you have to sell for one reason or another. Can the inlaws be made to sell up so that the property can be split into cash again or can they just say no.It may come to this in the near future and wondered if anyone had gone down the same route or say bought with friends etc and need to sell up.Thankyou

If any of the indivisaires is against this , the one who wants out can go to court to seek a "partage judiciaire" , the outcome of this procedure will depend on the judge's decision, and is not a forgone conclusion. Thebiga
Thanks Parsnips, Hope it will not come to it really as we don't want to go or the children. Much easier if the children were not settled here.
