mint
Made some fine tasting mulled wine using a recipe kindly posted on the forum by Mrs Bluecat. The recipe calls for quartered nectarines. Well, here's the best bit: don't throw away the nectarines because they taste lovely in their own right! The nectarine quarters are sweet and alcoholic and tender and yummy. Better than liqueur chocolates INMO as I don't like things that are too sweet and cloying. In fact, I'm thinking of poaching quartered nectarines in spiced wine for a treat for myself. Also, that's not exactly drinking, is it? Just getting quietly soused eating nectarines...........well, one's got to keep warm and in good spirits, n'est pas? nectarine
Nope, never throw away a nectarine! We are tasty, sweet, tender and juicy especially if pressed in the right places. Alcoholic, hmm, depends on the occasion. Soused nectarines ... yep, that was me on New Year's Eve!!!!
