idun Posted February 15, 2011 Share Posted February 15, 2011 I used to know someone who worked for a chain that sold good plonk and he would say that of all the whiskys they sold, Chivas Regal was their best seller.In spite of knowing this, I have never seen anyone drink it in France, has anyone else? Pierre ZFP Posted February 15, 2011 Share Posted February 15, 2011 Yes indeed!I was in a restaurant in Rouen, well actually outside on the terrace where 2 ladies were having dinner at the table next to us.They both chain smoked though the meal (so how could they even taste anything?)Anyway, at the end of the meal, after much pouring over the large selection of whiskys on offer, they both ordered large Chivas Regal with a mixer that I didn't catch.When the waiter returned he was loudly berated for the fact that he had brought full-fat coke and not diet coke as a mixer [+o(] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
