nectarine
Well I'm going to try and make some onion bhajis for a village buffet shortly and the recipe I've found calls for eitiher chickpea or buckwheat flour. Could anybody please tell me what these are called in French? ThanksPlus, if you have an absolutely foolproof recipe please can you post it here. I'm going to try this one http://jeenaskitchen.blogspot.com/2007/12/onion-bhaji-recipe.htmlbut they look impossibly good and my cooking skills are, er, somewhat lacking! So a foolproof idiotproof recipe will be most appreciated.Merci!
Wilko
Hi NectarineI have cooked this recipe on several occasions, they are excellent. I used farine de pois chiche.I'm no cook but this is pretty simple, put the laptp on the kitchen table cos the photos are really useful when cooking themBon ApW

suein56
http://jeenaskitchen.blogspot.com/2007/12/onion-bhaji-recipe.html
Crikey; those recipes do look amazingly yummy ... I do hope it's not a question of too-good-to-be-true as my cooking varies from the OK on a good day to the oh-dear-why-did-I-bother the rest of the time.I agree with Idun you should be able to find Sarrasin flour in good places, if not then try a wholefood outlet.Sue
