idun Posted March 11, 2012 Share Posted March 11, 2012 I still have a lousy french Ariston cooker, with an fan electric oven.......... and calling it lousy is only to compare it to my wonderful DeDietrich that I had for twenty odd years.However, today I used it to bake, because, I just could not face baking pastry in that bloody awful Canon Gas oven again, make that ever again. And my pies are golden and have firm golden bottoms. And the pastry was crisp and melted in our mouths and it was wonderful. What a very pleasant day. Wonderful sunshine and then good pies for tea.
