Clair
Have been reading an article in the Observer today about how Bake Off is coming to French TV.
The French programme is called "Le Meilleur Pâtissier" (translation).I recommend a visit to Mercotte's blog. It has wealth of recipes, all well explained and illustrated. She will be "playing" Mary Berry [:)].
Clair
I was under the impression that in the UK (original) version of the programme, the contestants would go home during the week and test their recipes (many mentions of family/friends tastings), then regroup at weekends to participate in the baking rounds. It seems that the 10 contestants chosen to participate in the French version of the programme are expected to stay away from home for 3 weeks.Details HERE (translation)
