Risky afters?

I don't usually read "pub" which appears in the mailbox, but just noticed that a recipe for "Tarte aux Abricots

Amandine" in Carrefour's current "Contact" magazine includes powdered apricot kernels, added to the ingredients of the

almond cream covering for the tart, to give it extra flavour.

Evidently they are not aware that apricot kernels are

poisonous, unless cooked, as they contain cyanide.

I believe apricot kernels are sold as "health food" in some countries, and that a healthy adult would have to eat about 4 ounces of kernels to be killed, but it doesn't seem to be good way of adding almond flavour, especially for children!
