Anything 'Bikey' happening in 53 and surrounds Easter or end August?

As per the title. I have enjoyed my bike borne wanders en France over the past few years and have had a laugh with my British friends. I feel it's time to extend the hand of friendship to some (non intimidating hopefully) French friends. I often see ride outs passing my door and think it would be nice to tag along for the company / camaraderie. Anyways if anyone has any ideas ir knows of Bike related social events where a Scot who is getting on a bit may be welcome...

Hello BM This is a late reply to your query. I've not been on here for a while and the other local bikers (Poitou Charentes and nearby) have moved their chat to a new site: http://tourdregs.net/phpbb/index.php  You could have look there.

I've not been out much having spent the winter searching for a "new" old bike. It finally arrived in January and I've just done the immatriculation for it. Turned out to be a piece of cake, especially after the tales you hear.

It's a 1970 Triumph Bonneville and I'm really pleased with it. Definitely a fair-weather bike though! [8-|]

Well I got over twice and loved it.

If anyone wondered who belonged to a black Yamaha FZ6S2 on UK plates and being driven by a thoroughly nice chap with a Saltire Helmet.....

In other news 'France bike' nears completion for next summer.

Does anyone UK or France have a CD175 they would sell cheapish?
