valB
I do a lot of knitting for Granchildren but I always struggle to find buttons in the colours I need. Can anyone suggest a good stockist of buttons ?
Clair
The shop that sell buttons (and anything associated with dress-making) is called une mercerie. Try finding one in your area on pagesjaunes.fr.They are few and far-between these days, but you can see what is available online here:http://www.google.fr/search?hl=fr&cr=countryFR&q=mercerie+boutons... Our town has a weekly market where there is always a stall which is full of all sizes, shapes and colours of buttons, also zips and all kinds of paraphenalia and oddments for sewing. valB
Many thanks for your replies. I will try our local market but I think I have found a shop through yellow pages close to where I live. Once again thank you all.
