mint
Does anyone know whether they are now delivering other goods than essentials?
Kong
Seem to be, but I think the items might have been shipped from non french warehouses.
Lehaut
Yes, received three non essential items yesterday, slight delay on normal delivery with Prime. Only one out of the three was broken in transit!
NormanH
I have a delivery today of a second-hand computer, but it came for the UK
Judith-aka-Judith
That's good, I had a non essential Amazon order (pre-confinement, just) from the UK never arrived, lost in transit they said, money back, but I'd like to re-order now, though I am not at all sure everything is back and working as before yet! pomme
They have been delivering items all the time but many came from non-French depots. If they are available for shipping they show as such on the Amazon FR web site and give a delivery time.I received a lens adapter ring, sold by a company where Amazon does the delivery, which was ordered on 20th. The delivery was listed as 26th but arrived on 23rd. They were ordered with Prime. Unfortunately it did not work and I printed a return label the next day. Now waiting to go to the post office - but I have until July.
Lori
We've ordered several things over the past couple of weeks. I don't think any would be considered essential. Most were Prime; sold by and shipped by Amazon. Now, from what depot, I have no idea, but most have arrived in 2 to 3 days - almost always faster than they said it would be when we ordered. We'll be ordering lots of things in mid June; sheets, pillows, mattress protector, bed cover, etc., etc. I wouldn't think these things are considered essential. I do hope they continue to ship things. I too wondered if the warehouse had reopened. I hadn't seen anything on the news about it, but I could have missed it. pomme
Amazon started to reopen the French warehouses gradually starting from 19 May. The plan is to have them all back to normal on 3 June.https://www.boursier.com/actions/actualites/economie/amazon-france-les-entrepots-rouvrent-partiellement-ce-mardi-43929.html

mint
Thank you for all your messages. What I will do is put the things I want in my panier and wait till after the weekend to see what new announcement there might be before payment.I suppose "essential" means different things to different people?[:D]
