Places to visit this weekend

I'd welcome recommendations of places to visit this weekend in the Dordogne area.

I'd especially love to visit a place that isn't normally open to the public.

Any suggestions, SVP?

This weekend Saturday & Sunday is the 3rd weekend in September and is accordingly the Journées Européens du Patrimoine.

The weekend offers thousands of opportunities to visit interesting venues, often only open exclusively on this weekend.

The Culture Ministry coordinates the publicité but your mairie or sub-prefecture will have a detailed programme available.

Selecting out of the Aquitaine Region the Dordogne Department under "ouverture exceptionelle" there are 69 venues.

Pictures look fabulous, Pacha, but I have now chosen what I want to do and where I'm going to be.

BTW, I saw a whole lot of veteran cars this lunchtime when I was driving home but they weren't heading towards Sarlat.  Maybe there are other veteran car rallies planned nearby.
