PaulT
We have a Jacquizzi (sp?) bath and it is leaking from where a flexible pipe is joined to a solid fitting which I assume is PVC.The flexible pipe has printed on it:DATONG FLEXIBLE PVC HOSE FOR SPA HOT TUB POOL INSTALLATIONDatong is I presume the manufacturer, and the reason for posting here is the POOL word.Obviously, I need to break the joint, clean up the faces and reglue - but what glue do I need to use? HoneySuckleDreams
If it has already been glued then you will have a job to separate them and clean them up. All the glues I have seen basically "meld" the plastics together. It's a pain when you want to change things as you have cut everything back and buy new pieces to glue back together again. Chancer
I have managed to soften and get apart solvent welded drainage joints with a hot air gun and some patience.
