Chancer
I am no longer surprised to hear of French artisans or companies making a mess of things and still expecting the customer to pay all over again for them to put it straight but this one that I saw on the news tonight you couldnt make up.http://lci.tf1.fr/france/societe/2010-04/le-chu-facture-le-sejour-de-la-mere-victime-d-une-erreur-medicale-5834586.html

5-element
It is good when such tragically ludicrous situations are highlighted as it might, just might, jolt a few consciences. In this particular case, it is the victim's son who is moving heaven and earth to denounce the aberration. Since the conciliateur de justice is involved as well as the media, no doubt that a solution will be found. The CHU director said he had to find the money somewhere, one wonders what insurance is for, if not for such cases?Even more tragic are the perhaps more minor, but equally tragic cases - no doubt there are some, which do not get any such publicity. At any rate, utterly appalling, a real horror story.
