elamessa
When you take out Top-up Health Insurance do you get given a card with your top-up insurance number on it to hand to the Doctor, Pharmacy etc? Or how do you get your payments back from the insurance company. Thanks in advance.
Pommier
You do get a card (well, we do) which is useful if you go into hospital etc, but visits to the GP it all works automatically. CPAM refund the 70% then notify the top-up insurer who refund their part.
Catalpa
We are with Allianz and have a card with the relevant info - cardboard, though, not plastic or electronic in any way. Pharmacies, hospitals, etc, all happily accept it. But this is France so I'd advise you to expect no consistency in approach across all regions. That way you can't be disappointed. Or surprised. E2a: You will also get the paper Attestation and that is what you need to keep in a safe place; if you don't have a card (or mislay it) present the Attestation - because the relevant info is on it. idun
Ask your top up insurance people how they reimburse and how they deal with the CPAM etc. That would seem the logical thing to do.
