Anyway I have been working in france now for 2 years on CDI contract, but have decided it's about time I took out a Top up. I have had my carte vitale for ages, and my work collègues, keep saying I must get a top up. But I recently heard that ALL employers must now provide an insurance for their staff, if not yet very soon. idun Posted August 13, 2014 Share Posted August 13, 2014 I think that it is coming in for everyone in Jan 2016. Lots of companies already have health cover, maybe it will depend on the size of the company as to when this will start. I know that my son had to take his current employers cover when he started work with them about 2 years ago.Do a search for mutuelle obligatoire and see what is said.
