PeterCD
I am fully aware that this question has probably been raised many times before but am unabke to find any "links". It has a simple yes or no answer............We purchased the TV for our French house last summer from Le Clerc. We are returning to France next week and find that we have a spare UK VHS video recorder - which it would make sense to utilize but the question is will it work in France with the TV???Thanks............. Gyn_Paul
Short answer is that provided you connect the video to the TV using a scart cable it will work.p

KathyC
Isn't there a difference between using a VCR to play tapes and using it to record programmes from a French TV arial?
Anton Redman
Short answer :1. Yes it will record from a Sky Digibox via either a SCART lead or the coax if it has been properly tuned it.2. Yes it will replay prerecorded PAL ( purchased or recorded in UK) video cassettes to a TV via a scart lead or a co axial cable including progammes recorded using '1' above'. 3. It will only record French Analogue TV if it is SECAM compatiable and has been propertly tuned in in France.
