woolybananasbrother Posted July 8, 2008 Share Posted July 8, 2008 For the last X months I have had Tele 2 through their modem box thingy which gives me a (just) bearable braodband speed and telephone line which runs through the box. BUT, one is supposed to be able to run an extra telephone through the existing telephone sockets in the house by using a filter plug. But is doesnt work, though the fone I want to use works quite well through the Tele2 box directly. The fone is ADSL 'friendly' and is cordless. Any ideas for getting round the problem please? Martin963 Posted July 8, 2008 Share Posted July 8, 2008 If you're still paying France Telecom €16 per month then yes your existing phone wiring should still work via FT.If not, then it'll all be dead and the only phone will be via your Tele 2 box.Unless I'm missing something..... I have often wondered how good they are,, and perhaps WoolyB has given us the answer.I was puzzled how it would work if the two plugs were on different rows of the main , or even off discrete distribution boards......Edit... PS I know the particular one on the euf link above is an ethernet link, but though I can't find it at the moment I know some IP providers sell a phone version.
