Dog
I now use sky just to listen to radio 4 on cordless headphones.I like to go to bed listening to radio 4 but during the night the sky receiver somehow turns off and in the morning I cannot listen to farming today and the marine weather poetry recital.I can only think we are getting micro electric power cuts. The usual things that do not reset are OK.Any ideas?
Will
Could it be the auto-standby feature?See http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/1475345/ShowPost.aspx
Théière
Dog, go and ask Mummy or Daddy to turn the parental control off radio 4 [;-)]
Gyn_Paul
When you say it turns itself off, do you mean it goes into standby - as if you'd turned it off with the remote - so that when you turn it on again it's still on R4, or do you mean a mains reset whereby it defaults to the (irritating ) sky welcome page when you turn it on again ?If the latter, then -yes - you are probably having mains dips during the wee small hours. If the former, check that there isn't an overnight programme tagged, which would call the box to turn itself off after the transmission time has passed.p

Bilbo
Sky has added this to its boxes, presumably to help save electricity use.If you press the Services button and then 5 you will go to the autostandby menu where you can choose to deactivate this.
