French radio in the UK

Recommended Posts

Assuming you have Long Wave on the (car) radio,  there are

France Inter   162 kHz

Europe 1   183 kHz

Radio Monte Carlo   (southern Britain only)  216 kHz

Radio Luxembourg (RTL)  234 kHz

In some areas on Medium Wave you can get France Info,  mainly  1377 kHz  in the far south east of Britain and 711 kHz along the south coast and south west.

These stations are mainly speech based.

France Culture is available as far as I know via the Radio France web page,  also via satellite (Astra 1)

I think that should be France Info on AM not France Culture.

FC *used* to be on AM years ago before Radio Bleue and subsequently France Info took over the "Reseau B" as it's known in technical circles.    I think Paris 864 kHz and Strasbourg 1278 kHz are still Bleue/locale but the rest of the old AM network is Info.

Unless you know something I don't!.....

Maybe that's why we can't get it in our present house, not the fact that we are in a valley.
