Labourdonnerie
Can anybody recommend a good French radio station to listen to in the UK, either on a radio or on the internet? Ideally a station with a mix of topics and discussions.

Martin963
Assuming you have Long Wave on the (car) radio, there are France Inter 162 kHzEurope 1 183 kHzRadio Monte Carlo (southern Britain only) 216 kHzRadio Luxembourg (RTL) 234 kHzIn some areas on Medium Wave you can get France Info, mainly 1377 kHz in the far south east of Britain and 711 kHz along the south coast and south west. These stations are mainly speech based. France Culture is available as far as I know via the Radio France web page, also via satellite (Astra 1)

lacote0_0
In parts of the South East France Culture can be received on AM.
Martin963
I think that should be France Info on AM not France Culture. FC *used* to be on AM years ago before Radio Bleue and subsequently France Info took over the "Reseau B" as it's known in technical circles. I think Paris 864 kHz and Strasbourg 1278 kHz are still Bleue/locale but the rest of the old AM network is Info.Unless you know something I don't!..... Martin963
You could have a look for France Culture on *FM* in France, even if you're in a valley there are few places in the Hexagone where the VHF/FM signals fail to penetrate, particularly if you have a reasonable radio.
