Here are a few photos taken of Beanz yesterday when he travelled from the Niort refuge to his foster home with Valérie  who lives above Saumur.

The transformation when  he came out of his kennel where he had been a boisterous barking dog was amazing.  He was soft, gentle and quiet, perfect in the car.  He does not pull on the lead and is obedient.

He is now with Valérie, her big Beauceron dog (rescued from the Angers refuge), her two poneys (one rescued) and her cat.  This morning she said Beanz is so sharp he already know his name, he slept in the kitchen with Volvic her dog, no noise no trouble.  She took them both for a walk this morning and said again how obedient he is.  She will be updating us with photos and news of his progress.

The vet thinks he is two years old and has put Labrador/Setter cross on his papers, but we certainly think he has some Border Collie.

Another very nice dog who is hoping for a loving home.

A couple of photos of Beanz taken yesterday by Valérie while out for a walk (he always looks like he's thinking).  You can already see he is in better condition with a better coat than last Sunday.

He has been "done" today and this weekend should be going to live with his new young mistress from Chinon.  She works at home, so he will be with her most of the time and go with her at the weekend to her riding club.  She is really nice and will be sending us photos.  What a marvellous outcome.   [:)]

Emilie and Beanz are really happy together in Chinon.  She sends me lots of news and photos.

He has met her horse                                                                     and has fun with her mother's dog.

What a great Monday,  Beanz, Brice and Trevor, all in loving new homes and don't they all look happy[:D].  And,  as Chateau Miaou said on Trevor's thread, the sun is shining as well![:D]  My two have just asked me to put their beds outside in the sun for them and now they are out in the garden, basking.

I must say I normally avoid animal threads, not because I don't like animals, quite the opposite actually, but because the they usually really upset me and I can't get out of my head where they repeat ad infinitum... not this one though and it's great to see Beanz looking so happy and loved [:D]
