Barbel Bob Posted September 6, 2007 Share Posted September 6, 2007 Hi we will be moving to our new home at the end of September (dept 24 ) and have promised our children a new puppy to help them settle in....I know the day we arrive they will want to go out to buy one! So i am trying to get a little prepared.....my husband wants a German Shepherd, I want a cute Beagle....still not decided, can anyone point me in the direction of where we will be able to purchase a puppy!ThanksJ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

By the way we looked after a beagle for 6 months when I was young - don't forget they are essentially hunting dogs and need a lot of disciple and exercise, not always the best breed to have as a pet for children in my opinion. There are fabulous dogs there, especially as you mentioned your husband would like a GSD. The Refuge Centres are full of big dogs, many young, so PLEASE do try there first.You sound as if you would give a lovely home to a dog so do a good turn, and you will be more than rewarded for giving a home to a doggie in GREAT need.Good luck in your move.
