One week to rescue handsome young Horse, Seine Maritime (76)

Recommended Posts

Scott will be two in January, more photos on the link below.  He has been driven, but they don't know if he has been ridden (seems young for that).  He has not raced yet.  Winter is coming on and they need room in the stables.  Scott has to go.  His papers are in order and they are asking € 760 for him.  He is certainly a very pretty young horse, if someone can save his life.

In case you can't get the link, it says his name is not Scott, but

Scoot du Caux
n°sire 06 165 467 E
couleur : bai
taille 1m60 au moins
age 1 an prendra 2 ans en janvier
débourré à l'attelage et surment monté
père Espeyrac sun
mère : Indiana du Caux
prix : 760 euros

They say he is very good natured, adorable and is easy to handle.  Another photo of Scoot

I know, Christine, that you are very knowledgeable, but could I just post a warning?  This type of horse, no matter how "adorable" will be one of the most difficult sorts to take on and not for the amateur.  Do not be tempted to offer a home for him unless you know what you are doing.  A field and a shelter will not be enough and as he grows and strenghtens he could be quite a handful.  He would also need to be gelded as a matter of urgency, imo.  Of course I would not want to prevent a sensible person from saving his life, but on the other hand, thoroughbred types have a habit of getting the best of amateur owners, with dire consequences for everybody involved, not least the poor horse.
