Christine Animal Posted February 25, 2006 Share Posted February 25, 2006 There are several very nice dogs urgenly needing homes at the fourrière of Thouars, right at the top of Deux-Sèvres and not very far from Saumur etc. This is not a a refuge, but a fourrière and the dogs are put down if not claimed or rehomed and there are some lovely ones needing help right now, a beautiful German Shepherd, friendly Yellow Labrador, young black Labrador cross and a couple of Beagles : here's the link with more photos and details : http://rescue.forumactif.com/viewtopic.forum?t=31521If ever you would like to help these dogs, but can't speak enough French, you can contact us. Christine Animal Posted March 4, 2006 Author Share Posted March 4, 2006 The German Shepherd above has been adopted and one of the Beagles is in a foster home, but the others are still there.A lovely Collie (Lassie) has been found and unclaimed near Lezay, Deux-Sèvres. He has unfortunately been taken to the "kennels" at the local déchetterie. We are told he is a very nice dog and it would be wonderful if someone could rapidly offer him a good home.A little male Pinscher, only a year old, also needs a new home as his elderly mistress can no longer keep him.
