Let him keep Bambi !

Eighty-three year old Yvan Blaise found Bambi, a baby wild boar, at the end of the hunting season February 2011.  His mother had been killed the day before and Yvan Blaise saved Bambi by putting him in one of his socks and taking him home where he was bottle-fed by his wife and reared as a pet. 

Bambi now weighs 86 kilos, is neutered and has an enclosure with electric fence and a paddling pool, living a happy safe life loved by this elderly couple.

But now they want to take Bambi away from them!  Two gardes chasse have recently been to tell them that they are not allowed to keep a "wild animal".

Yvan Blaise is not ready to let them take his beloved Bambi, let's just hope he wins.  So, story to be followed.

The gardes chasses can be very officious pieces of offal as in  this case. One just hopes they have the common sense to back off. Some hope.
