Cassis Posted August 12, 2006 Share Posted August 12, 2006 I was recently surprised to find that the cheapest car rental for a 7 seat air-con Zafira was through www.hertz.com. 302 euros for 9 days hire (afternoon of 2 Sept to morning of 11th Sept) and unlimited mileage. About 100 euros cheaper than booking with any other local company and, bizarrely, also about 60 euros cheaper than going through Hertz France. You can book anywhere in the world by going on their dotcom site. For hiring from their France Alençon depot I had to ring a tollfree number (not all depots can be booked online) and after they took my details and requirements they said it would take up to 2 days for them to check and confirm availability, but it was easy peasy and all in English.Your name's a bit big, isn't it? So we must hire a car that is spacious enough for two fatties and our fat family who are flying over. A 4x4 should do it. Lots of 4x4 owners are rather large, must be why they drive them...
