pip
Can someone please tell me if a Toyota Rav 4 would be classed as a "grey" japanese import. If so, how difficult is it to import from UK to France ??

If its a private import from somewhere else it may or may not be to European spec. I believe that private, non C of C, imports TO UK need an SVA certification (Single vehicle approval) for UK registration, how this SVA is then considered in France is an unknown (to me)
Anton Redman
SVA is not recognised otherwise Kitcar regiostration would not be so big a problem.

woolybananasbrother
Friend of mine wrote one of those off at crawl speed one day as it was hit on the diagonal where that model (the first Rav 4 ) was very weak, though ok for front and back crash tests. Dunno about the later ones. Pity, they seem such pretty cars.
Chancer
Pity, they seem such pretty cars.
That depends on your outlook, whether you are a hairdresser or whatever a "pillow biter" is.
