jlbbergerac
I wonder if any one can help me. I have a RHD 2005 Mitsubishi Shogun sport warrior 2.5td which has 18" alloys on it. These were standard on the vehicle when i bought it in the uk. The car is now registered here in france but will need a CT on it soon. I have been told that it will fail as the car should have smaller wheels on it. The certificate of conformity says that it should have 15" wheels on it. Has any one else had a similar problem with this.
krusty
Yes I have a similar prob with a ford , the tyres are wider than should be on the car , the CT tester has marked them down as a "defaut" so I supose I will have to get them changed before the next visit. Théière
Is this a total nanny state?Brother in law went to register his Merc sprinter and had lots of problems because cert of conformity states single passenger seat and at the time he bought it he had the dealer fit a double seat. The French office could not grasp that Mercedes fit the parts for either and changing it requires only two additional bolts so the process ground to a halt. Its so robotic, is there something about fitting a tow bar that requires a dealer only in order to update the file?
