Woodworm treatment - rolling mist

We have woodworm in the undersides of the first floor

floorboards.  The surveyor didn't seem to be overly concerned

about it - seemed to think that it wasn't considered to be a huge

problem in France and that the work involved in dropping ceilings /

lifting floorboards woudn't be cost effective.

I was discussing this with my brother (who has just completed a major

house renovation project in the UK) and debating what to do and he

mentioned a 'rolling mist treatment' that Rentokil in the UK use.

Basically its for enclosed spaces (such as those between first floor

floorboards and ground floor ceilings) and involves making a small hole

in the ceiling to accommodate a hose nozzle.  The space is then

pumped full of anti 'bug' mist which spreads throughout the space and

threats all the timbers.  Apparently it only takes a short while

to do and the rooms can be reoccupied wthin hours.

Has anyone heard of this treatment in France - if so what is it called?
