hastobe
We have woodworm in the undersides of the first floorfloorboards. The surveyor didn't seem to be overly concernedabout it - seemed to think that it wasn't considered to be a hugeproblem in France and that the work involved in dropping ceilings /lifting floorboards woudn't be cost effective. I was discussing this with my brother (who has just completed a majorhouse renovation project in the UK) and debating what to do and hementioned a 'rolling mist treatment' that Rentokil in the UK use. Basically its for enclosed spaces (such as those between first floorfloorboards and ground floor ceilings) and involves making a small holein the ceiling to accommodate a hose nozzle. The space is thenpumped full of anti 'bug' mist which spreads throughout the space andthreats all the timbers. Apparently it only takes a short whileto do and the rooms can be reoccupied wthin hours.Has anyone heard of this treatment in France - if so what is it called?Hastobe
