Gyn_Paul
Hi,About to partition off part of a first floor bedroom for a bathroom. since it will stand between 2 bedrooms I'm keen on it being as sound-proof as possible esp. as - for the moment - the loo will have to have a saniflo attached to it. The floor is wood strips on 75 x 200 beams with no ceiling underneath, so will tend to act as a sounding board anyway.I would normally construct the walls out of BA13 placo on either 50x75 studwork or metal rails depending on which is easlier: either way it would be stuffed with as great a thickness of fibreglass as I can cram in. But it occured to me that the 7cm t&g plaster panels might be a better way to go, however these would be single-skin so obviously without any insulation. Have any of you faced this choice ? If so what did you opt for and would you do it again ?p
