DIY English / French lexicon

AAAARRGGGHH!!!!! Said I when I saw the union jack on some pamphlets at Leroy Merlin entitled "Welcome home, explore your store..."

Sadly they have sold out and are targetting the Brit market and not just day trippers as this was Amiens, it contained all the usual tat of loyalty card form, others to gain more points by introducing "friends" but crucially a quite passable DIY lexicon that would be usefull to most users of this forum despite the numerous mistakes.

It also informs you that if you dont speak French to seek out one of their English speaking serveurs who will be proudly (I dont think) sporting a "I speak English" badge replete with union jack emblem, I suppose marginally better than the St George cross. I will seek one out next time to practice my failing English on [:)]

In all seriousness it is quite a good lexicon especially as it is free, it would have taught me the word "echantillon" had I not just learnt it from the cashier.
