jen
The property we have just bought needs lots of buidling work, but due to work committments can't be there much of the time to oversee the work. Has anyone advise on how to manage the artisans in these circumstances.
Cendrillon
Do ask local neighbours who they recommend and also ask at the mairie. It takes time but it is worth getting to know and building a rapport with a local builder. He will know of good local electricians, plumbers, carpenters etc and he may be able to coordinate the work for you. This has been out experience but as I said, it does take time to find the right people. Bon courage et bonne chance.
thunderhorse
When you say lots of building work, is there an architect involved? If so, quite often they'll act as project manager and pull all the artisans together.
