Lancashire Lass
We have a house with the traditional, large barn doors. We would like to change these for windows and two French doors in non-reflective, double glazing. I would like these in wood and because of the size. I know we would need kiln dried oak. Only the UPVC companies would be prepared to make these for us ( we are in 17 near Jonzac) and they then would not match the other windows in the house. My initial idea was to have an electric shutter but the rebate is not big enough, so we would need some kind of folding wooden shutters. If you have done something similar please could you share your experiences with me? Or indeed if you can recommend someone in my area I would be interested. Please send any recommendations on e-mail please - not on open forum.

oldgit72
I will also be looking for similar doors in oak in a year or two. Has anyone had some made recently and if so, what did it cost? (3.2mx3.6m opening incorporating 1.8mx2m set of french doors the rest in double glazed windows).
