Alanmcd
I own a property in Brittany(56) and want to convert the huge loft to accomodate 2 ensuite bedrooms and a verandah. My plan is to cut back the roof and install french doors so that there is an external verandah. I will also need to cut into the floor to allow the installation of a new staircase. I have a friend who is an english builder who has looked at this and thinks it can be done but that it will need a small (3M RSJ) to support the floor after the concrete beams have been cut. I have had some drawings done but cant seem to add them on here . has anyone any experience of this thanksAlan
BIG MAC
I am thinking on doing similar however will probably go cast in situ I have two roofs to a valley and am considering taking one roof away and forming dormers to a cast in situ deck in place of where the old roof was, accessed from new French windows in the dormers.
